Project Manager – Water Restoration and Protection Coordinator

Coon Creek Watershed District is seeking a motivated Project Manager to lead meaningful projects that protect and improve water resources across the watershed. In this role, you will manage capital improvement projects that reduce flood risk, improve water quality, maintain drainage infrastructure, and enhance habitat and recreation for the communities we serve.

The Project Manager leads projects from concept through design, permitting, construction, and closeout. You will coordinate closely with District staff, consultants, contractors, local governments, and partner agencies to deliver complex projects that advance long-term watershed management goals. Responsibilities include developing project scopes and budgets, managing engineering design and permitting, overseeing construction, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy collaboration, problem solving, and seeing projects move from idea to implementation with lasting community and environmental benefits. A related bachelor’s degree and five years of project management experience are required; PE or PMP credentials are preferred.
