Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CECs) Materials
Coon Creek Watershed District has created several print and digital materials to help you encourage awareness of CECs. We created materials for two different types of CECs:
Proper Medication Disposal Materials
Feel free to download these materials and use them! Want to add your logo or contact information? Please contact Britta Dornfeld at
or by phone at 763-755-0975.
The Western Lake Superior Sanitary District also created a great education toolkit about CECs, specifically about pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and mercury. This Handle with Care toolkit has both videos and print materials for in-person or social media education.
Minnesota state and local government, sanitary sewer districts, and non-profit organizations can use and customize this toolkit to educate families, farmers, contractors, and caregivers about safely handling and disposing of medications, pesticides, and mercury. Please send a copy of your outreach products created with the toolkit to info@wlssd.com.
Other organizations can request permission to use the toolkit by contacting the Western Lake Superior Sanitary District at info@wlssd.com.
